Sheet 6.5
Acceptable use policy
This policy sets out what may and may not be done through the DENVIK platform. It forms part of the terms of service.
1. General rule
You may use the platform only for the business described at account opening, in compliance with applicable law, the rules of the card schemes and payment methods you accept, and the requirements of the payment providers and acquiring partners that process and settle your transactions.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not use the platform to sell, promote or facilitate:
- anything illegal in the country of the merchant or of the customer;
- counterfeit goods or goods that infringe intellectual property rights;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives and items designed to cause harm;
- illegal drugs, controlled substances and paraphernalia;
- content involving the exploitation or abuse of children;
- unlicensed gambling, lotteries or betting, and unlicensed financial, investment or money-transmission services;
- schemes that mislead customers: pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, deceptive subscriptions, counterfeit documents or fake reviews;
- goods or services that evade sanctions or embargoes;
- any activity a payment provider, acquiring partner or card scheme has declined for your account.
3. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- submit transactions for a business other than the one on the account;
- process your own cards to obtain funds, or split a sale to avoid limits or screening;
- re-submit a transaction that has been declined, refunded or charged back as if it were new;
- store full card numbers or security codes on your own systems;
- interfere with the platform, probe it for vulnerabilities without written permission, or share your credentials;
- describe goods, prices, delivery or refund terms to customers in a misleading way.
4. Your obligations to customers
You must display your business name, the price including taxes, your delivery terms and your refund and cancellation policy before the customer pays, and honour them. Customer complaints must be answered promptly; unresolved complaints become disputes, for which you are responsible under the terms of service.
5. Enforcement
We may review any account at any time. Where this policy is breached, or where a provider, card scheme or authority requires it, we may hold payouts, increase the reserve, suspend the account or close it. Funds held will be released as set out in your agreement once refunds, disputes and any amounts owed have been settled.
6. Reporting
To report a suspected breach of this policy, write to contact@denvik.io.
